There's no such thing as having too many lipstick Beauty High
Calista: “What do you mean another lipstick?”
Me: “Duo tone sticks Cal, duo tone lipsticks”
Calista is in town staying with me for the week hence why I’ve had to justify my lipstick purchase to her last night.
Laneige recently came up with a duo tone stick lipstick to help make applying ombre lips a hell lot easier.
Of course I need to get my hands on them. Didn’t know how I’d feel about them so I bought just one, out of the collection in No 4- Milk Blurring.
It’s a beautiful combination of both red and white and according to the salesperson, it’s also one of their best sellers!
Incase you are wondering what other colors they have, here’s a snapshot I took from Laneige official website. Here’s the color chart
And their official swatches
and here my view on it! Pictures taken this morning with morning sunlight, didn’t make my bed coz Cal was still happily asleep hah
and the swatches under sunlight. As you can tell, the color is quite true to the chart. The white obviously didn’t turn out as obvious as it did on the chart because well, it’s white but it does have a concealing effect on the skin.
And here’s me applying it. To be honest, I was actually quite shock how the colors are quite true to the model swatches even. Most times I find the colors don’t turn out the same as on the model swatches.
Application: 8/10 The lip stick is extremely hydrating and balmy so it makes application so easy. There are times when the darker color of the lipstick stains the lighter color of the lipstick but it’s easily fix with just a clean swipe on your hand and you’ll get the lipstick the way it was when you first have it out of the box!
Color Pigmentation: 7/10 The balmy texture does make the pigmentation abit sheerer than I like but I guess it works alot better this way because blending the 2 colors will be much easier this way too.
Lasting Power: I’d say you’d have to reapply it every time after every meal which I wouldn’t be too fussed because the application of the lipstick is really much easier than a normal matte lipstick.
Price: SGD $34
Will I Repurchase: Yeah, I might actually cave in and purchase No 10 in Burgundy Love and No 3 Pink Salmon
Have you guys tried the lipsticks?
